NV Roofing Announces Charitable Giveback Program
Company is “Raising the Roof” to support organizations across the DC Metro area.
Sterling, VA — For NV Roofing, giving back has always been a meaningful part of the company’s mission. In 2001 the group stepped up to support the post 9/11 rebuild of the Pentagon by providing their services free of charge. The company recently announced a new program, Raising the Roof, to formally support local communities across the DC Metro area.
“We may not be the largest company in this region, but we recognize the importance of doing our part to support the communities we serve,” stated NV Roofing CEO John Francis. “The entire organization is excited about this program and the opportunity to work together to help those less fortunate.”
The Raising the Roof initiative is an annual commitment and NV Roofing selects a charitable organization each month as a partner. This provides an opportunity for the company to work with a number of different organizations and support communities across the area. The NV Roofing staff engages on different levels depending on the need or the charity. Aside from the financial contribution, the team dedicates the time and resources necessary to help make a difference.
Brenda Colvin, HR Specialist at NV Roofing, heads up Raising the Roof and offered her perspective. “We really wanted to be able to reach a lot of communities as well as support multiple organizations, so selecting a monthly partner allows us the opportunity to truly spread our giving. Our team loves the opportunity to pull together and make a difference.”
The program kicked off in late August with Operation Backpack and continued in September with the Dulles Food Pantry and Britepath Financial Empowerment in October. The company plans to work directly with Wreaths Across America later in the year.
“We have always been an active supporter, but we never had a formal approach to giving back,” explained Francis. “Raising the Roof provides the platform and our team delivers every month on our commitment.”
